We Are Committed Boosting Girl Child Education Gov masaari
Katsina State governor Aminu Bello Masari has reafirmed the determination of his administration to boost education, especially girl-child education, saying that more resources would be devoted to the sector. Speaking yesterday during the close of holiday camp organised for 250 girls drawn from schools across the state, Masari said his administration was committed to the development of education as one of its top priorities. Masari, who spoke through the state deputy governor, Mannir Yakubu, said the largest chunk of 2016 budget was allocated to education to help underscore government’s commitment. He said, “This government will continue to do all that is possible within its limited resources for the development of education” He also tasked the girls to make good use of the skills and knowledge acquired during the holiday camp, assuring that the state government would not waver in executing laudable programmes for educational development of the state.
